Melly Mingo and Caddy Realboy Bring Their Afro Fusion Collaboration “JEJE” to Life with New Video

Melly Mingo and Caddy Realboy have unveiled the official music video for “JEJE,” bringing a visual component to their cross cultural collaboration. The single brings together Mingo’s blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano and melodic rap with Caddy Realboy’s soulful vocals and influences rooted in Ghanaian Highlife.

Mingo, an American based artist with an interest in exploring global sounds, joins forces with Caddy Realboy, born Lawrence Korankye Appiah, whose musical background draws from traditional Highlife and church choir singing. Originally from Kasoa and raised in Kumasi, Caddy has been influenced by musicians including Freddie Mawey, Daddy Lumba and 2Face Idibia. These influences inform his melodic delivery and vocal harmonies on the record.

The release follows a recent live performance by the two artists, where their musical chemistry was on display. On “JEJE,” their distinct approaches meet in a collaboration that connects contemporary Afrobeats and Afro fusion with elements of West African musical tradition.

With the official music video now available on YouTube, listeners can experience the collaboration in its visual form. The single is also available to stream on major digital music platforms.
