Papi Rugio Embarks On A New Sonic Era With Dual Single Release ‘Locked In’ And ‘Normal Thing’

The Nigerian artist and producer bridges intense focus and effortless swagger in a two-pack release that elevates the foundation set by his acclaimed Soft Boy era.

Multitalented artist, producer, and creative director Papi Rugio (also known as Papi Rugio) officially announces the release of his highly anticipated two-track bundle, “Locked In” and “Normal Thing,” out on all major streaming platforms.

Following the release of the Soft Boy EP & Soft Boy II (Deluxe), Rugio’s new two-pack explores new sides of his artistry and lifestyle.

“Locked In” : A high-intensity, afro-hiphop anthem driven by crisp production. The track channels the quiet determination required behind the scenes to sharpen one’s craft, building directly on the energetic foundation established in prior hits like “We On” and “Soft Boy Gangsta.”

“Normal Thing” : A smooth, relaxed Afro-fusion track radiating effortless confidence and everyday luxury. Spiced with  catchy alte elements and infectious rhythms, the single captures the unforced swagger that fans first embraced in catalog staples such as “Fresh N Clean” and “ABC (Teacher).”

“Music isn’t static, and neither is the journey,” says Rugio. “With ‘Locked In’ and ‘Normal Thing,’ I wanted to show both ends of the spectrum. One side is the relentless grind when the studio doors are shut; the other is the natural, easy rhythm when you step out into the world. The Soft Boy era showed people who I was & this dual release shows where that energy has evolved.”

“Locked In” and “Normal Thing” will be available across Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, YouTube Music, and all global DSPs
