Alternative R&B and Highlife sensation, GibiChris, has just released his first single of the year, “HEY YOU”, on 22nd February 2024.

Birthed from another collaboration with talented producer HalifaxMadeIt, this Alt. R&B song plants Gibi in the growing R&B scene in Ghana and Africa as a whole. The sexy groovy production sets the stage for GibiChris’ infectious lyrics and silky voice, swooning all who listen. “HEY YOU” is an open letter to a distant lover inspired by the longing for their presence and memories made together.

This record is a follow-up to his last single in 2023 titled Kakamotobi, a highlife-inspired song that tapped into the foundations of Gibi’s sound. “HEY YOU” is the vocalist showing his fans and audience his range of artistry as well as taking a stance on the sound he looks to pursue going forward.
