The DIY Collective Presents: A Creative Industry Workshop

The DIY Collective—a creative ecosystem for creatives and industry innovators, is excited to announce its upcoming Creative Industry Workshop & Networking Event, set to take place on Wednesday, 9th of October 2024 at 4 PM in Lagos.

This event is curated for emerging and established creatives, providing a platform to explore key areas of the modern creative industry. Participants will gain valuable knowledge about the evolving world of music management, creative direction, strategic partnerships, live events and also reinventing themselves as creatives.

A key highlight of the workshop is also the speed mentoring and networking session that will be held right after the panel sessions with seasoned creatives and music business executives across Africa, who will be on ground to connect with the workshop participants.

The DIY Collective accelerator program will also take a different direction this year. Applicants will not only apply but also present compelling reasons why they should be selected for the program and the winners of the competition will be communicated with during the workshop.

This year, Warner Music West Africa will offer two-week work experience placements to selected participants starting in November. Additionally, music labels and creative agencies Chocolate City, KVLT WRLD, Wetalksound, Troniq, OK Effect Studios, Mae-MCG amongst others will also provide three-month job and internship opportunities.

Creatives in PR, Marketing, A&R, Talent Management, Content Production, Videography, Photography, Graphic Design, Social Media Content Creation, and Events Management are invited to apply for this year’s accelerator program by submitting their portfolios and CVs when registering for the workshop event.
