Ghanaian Rapper Jaleel Thomas Returns with New Single “RADAR”

Rising Ghanaian musician Jaleel Thomas, also known as Leelo, has released his brand-new single “RADAR”, produced by Gnardi. The track is a smooth and confident Hip-hop anthem that blends soft melodies with strong, steady drums, creating a vibe that feels calm yet powerful.

On “RADAR,” Jaleel speaks on staying focused, trusting instincts, and blocking out distractions. His voice flows naturally over the beat, with lyrics that highlight his sharp awareness of the world around him — even the hidden truths people try to conceal. More than just a song, “RADAR” is about moving smart, protecting your energy, and staying alert. Whether cruising at night or locked in your own zone, it’s the perfect soundtrack for focus and clarity.

Born Jalil Sanni-Thomas in 1999, Leelo grew up between the bustling streets of Accra and East Providence, Rhode Island. He began rapping in high school at Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Legon, before taking a three-year hiatus (2017–2020) to refine his craft. His return was marked by the EP Keep Your Distance (2020), followed by A Globall Interlude (2021), where he explored themes of mental health and self-worth.

Known for his laid-back flow — balancing between mumble rap and trap — Leelo has collaborated with acts like $pacely and Questo, carving a lane for himself with his versatile rap style and vulnerable lyricism. After standout singles like Faith and projects such as Day In The Life, “RADAR” marks the next chapter in his journey, reinforcing his ability to fuse introspection with captivating soundscapes.

With “RADAR,” Jaleel Thomas proves once again why he’s one of Ghana’s most fascinating rising voices in Hip-hop.
