Rising Afrofusion artist MOLA releases her debut EP, Irin Ajo, marking a significant milestone in a journey that spans continents, cultures, and personal reinvention. The EP is a sonic documentation of her life’s voyage through success and failure, love and heartbreak, pain and healing.
Born Dr. Omolade Akpata Kasali, MOLA is far from your average new cat in the industry. The Los Angeles-born, Nigerian-bred singer-songwriter is also a PhD holder in Strategic Business Management, a music production graduate, entrepreneur, wife, and mother. Her artistic depth is matched only by her determination to inspire, heal, and connect with her listeners through soulbaring storytelling.
With Irin Ajo, meaning “Journey” in Yoruba, MOLA opens a new chapter one that’s as spiritual as it is musical. The lead single “Idaduro” has already struck a chord with audiences, telling the story of resilience through the eyes of a young woman refusing to give up on her dreams. The EP follows this emotional thread, chronicling MOLA’s path with striking vulnerability and elegance.
Speaking on her project, MOLA shares, “My music is more than just melodies and rhythms, it’s a reflection of my soul. I want listeners to find a safe haven in my songs, to know they’re not alone, and to feel seen.”
Before launching her recording career, MOLA spent years honing her craft on stage, most notably at Lagos’ Eko Hotels & Suites where she performed weekly between 2014 and 2018, winning over audiences and earning the respect of Nigeria’s entertainment elite.
With Irin Ajo, MOLA positions herself as a powerful new voice in Afrofusion, rooted in authenticity and armed with a message that transcends borders.
The EP is now available on all major streaming platforms.
