What inspired the project “Colored Echoes” ?

Personal experience, colored echoes play on words ( colors meaning emotions ) songs are for everybody, echoes for loud cries. People who aren’t afraid to talk about their feelings. WDYSIM reference. Party jam dey too. We were going for a fresh sound to avoid sounding like anybody. Hence the variety

What was the first song you recorded on the project ?

WDYSIM

How many songs were initially recorded / for the project ?

4 song EP at first. My producer and managers something was missing and when they laid it out for me, I went back to make more cos I was having fun at that point and what you hear right now is the brainchild of sleepless nights in the studio

What inspired the song ‘Enough’ ?

I chop breakfast and my guys were so supportive and all the rage was just channelled to making that song. I hope she listens to what she did to me

Let’s take it back — Why the name ‘C Extreme’ and who’s the man behind ‘C Extreme’ ?

C Extreme was my first moniker. Had that name since high school. Too many C dey my name and it just stuck. Na babe give me the name sha.

C Extreme is just a boy. He lives in the realm of music and he’s very intentional with what he’s doing I am an ambivert and I no too send anybody and I just try to do right by myself and God. I’m also a very energy oriented person so what you’re giving is what you get. I don lose too many friends because of am. Felt a weird energy from them and kept my distance.

What inspired you to start making music ?

In one word it would be inspiration. I’m always listening to MJ, Bruno Mars , Chris brown, wiz khalifa, lil Wayne, Adele and Akon. Music became my outlet from reality and run away. So it’s my way out of the trenches.

Pick one. Osita Osadebe, Oliver De Coque or Sam Warrior ?

I love all of them. This is not even a fair question. I love their use of live instrument but I prefer Oliver because of his Makossa infusions.

If you could change one thing about your childhood, what would that be ?

That I wasn’t bullied so much. Would’ve boosted my self confidence and made me realise music was my thing quicker

Name a Nigerian song you wished was written or recorded by you.

Omah lay – reason. Anything Omah Lay sha.

For people that know what I can do, it’s a chance to show progress and for those who don’t know me. This is my first major drop so by the streams and interactions I would know what they feel. Open mind cos I know where I’m going and the believers would learn in due time and rock with my sounds

What should your fans be expecting after ‘Colored Echoes’ ?

More music for sure. Wicked people don’t sleep. Lots of songs in the archive. If you are rocking with the EP. There’s sth special for the fans as well. Upcoming artiste no dey rest.
