In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Sony Music West Africa announces its Women’s Month flagship, Bloom & Bloom, dedicated to spotlighting and accelerating the women shaping Africa’s creative and business landscape. Now in its latest edition, Bloom & Bloom continues to evolve beyond a commemorative gathering into a purposeful cultural convening that bridges influence, access and opportunity.
Anchored on this year’s IWD theme, “Give to Gain,” the initiative challenges traditional notions of success and reframes growth as a shared ecosystem. At its core, Bloom & Bloom 2026 explores the power of intentional collaboration, mentorship, ownership and long-term thinking, reinforcing the idea that when women invest in one another, industries expand and legacies are built.
The first day of the experience, March 19, features the Greenhouse Panel Sessions, an intimate and thought-driven forum bringing together creators, founders, executives and cultural leaders for candid conversations around ownership, intellectual property, scaling creative brands into sustainable businesses and building institutions that outlive trends. This year’s edition will host a distinguished lineup of speakers including Mimi Chaka, Actress; Kiekie, Creative Multihyphenate; Odunayo Eweniyi, Co-founder/PiggyVest; Tosin Ajibade, Founder/OloriSuperGal Media; Alex Asogwa, Reality TV star; Victoria Nkong, Producer/AFRIMA, amongst more others offering practical insights drawn from their leadership journeys across music, media, enterprise and culture. Together, they represent a cross-section of women actively redefining power within Africa’s evolving creative economy.
The experience culminates on March 20 with the Bloom & Bloom Mixer, a vibrant, invitationonly evening gathering welcoming guests across music, film, fashion, technology, entrepreneurship and media. Designed as both celebration and catalyst, the mixer creates space for meaningful connections; the kind that spark collaborations, mentorships, investments and partnerships that extend well beyond Women’s Month. While attendance remains curated, the spirit of the evening reflects openness, ambition and collective advancement.
Bloom & Bloom 2026 is proudly supported by Tolaram Group, Flying Fish, MISKAY, Hip TV, Audio Girl Africa, Echoo Room, Severe Nature and more brands aligned with the mission of advancing women’s leadership and expanding access within Africa’s creative and corporate ecosystems. These partnerships underscore a shared commitment to equity, representation and sustainable growth.
As global conversations around International Women’s Day 2026 continue to call for accelerated action and structural change, Sony Music West Africa positions Bloom & Bloom as more than a moment of recognition. It is a strategic platform designed to move the conversation from visibility to value, from applause to access, and from inspiration to implementation. By convening women across generations and industries, the company reinforces its belief that true progress happens when influence is shared and opportunities are multiplied.
Through initiatives like Bloom & Bloom, Sony Music West Africa continues to extend its role beyond music into meaningful cultural leadership, building platforms that champion equity, innovation and long-term impact across the region.
