‘No Go There’ was inspired by the streets in Nigeria. There’s a chant at the beginning of the song that says “No Mercy, E go kill am” repeatedly, that simple sample that was meant for advertising repellents gave the song it’s unique direction. The song was produced by Premium Sounds, a producer who isn’t new in the industry as well, saucing this magical song with premium spice of Afrobeat Elements including guitars, elevating pads and synths and a very indigenous drum sequence that gives the song a very upbeat vibe that blends so well with Narlti’s type of rap to produce a new wave of Rap on Afrobeat, something that is rarely common in the Nigerian music industry.

“Telling from the type of sound, it’s not what I’ve been doing before so it was a bit challenging when I heard the beat at first so I knew I had to go hard, I did the first verse in the studio the day the beat was made and I went back to finish the second verse cause regardless of how commercial the beat is, I still wanted to talk that talk.
