Born Joshua Hussain and raised in Lagos with roots in Kogi State, Cool JB’s passion for music began in childhood, inspired by artists like Zule Zoo and Tony Tetuila. Encouraged by his mother, he began writing songs before turning thirteen and later pursued formal music education at Obafemi Awolowo University. Over the years, he has managed studios, produced tracks for independent artists, and crafted his own sound influenced by both African and international icons such as James Blunt, Dido, Vanessa Carlton, and Westlife.
From his early beginnings with the group Windstars to recording his first single, “Jofunmi” in 2010, Cool JB has built a career rooted in passion, creativity, and relentless dedication. With “Family Matter” and UNIVERSE, he now steps boldly onto the global stage.
