Rising artiste Golo is steadily carving a lane for himself, driven by passion, instinct, and a deep love for music. Born Gold Felix, Golo’s journey began long before his official debut. At just 14, he started making music using recording apps like Tune Me, experimenting with sounds and melodies from his phone. By the age of 16, he had his first professional studio session, a moment that marked the beginning of his artistic growth.
Inspired by some of Africa’s biggest music exports such as Rema, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, Golo draws influence from their versatility, confidence, and ability to connect with audiences across the world. For him, music is more than a creative pursuit.
“Music is life to me,” he says. “I cannot go ten hours without listening to music. That love is why I started making music, and why I want to inspire people through what I create.”
Golo officially kicked off his professional music career last year with his debut single, Slow Wine, which introduced listeners to his sound and set the foundation for what was to come. Now, with just two singles out so far, he is focused on building steadily and intentionally.
His latest release, Sip, was born from a studio freestyle. According to Golo, the song came together naturally while he was vibing to the beat, allowing the melody and lyrics to flow without pressure or overthinking.
“The song just came to my head at that moment,” he explains. “It was inspired by my vibe and the Flamezz in me.”
“Sip” captures Golo’s instinctive approach to music making, blending confidence, energy, and a laid back groove that reflects his personality. The record offers a clearer picture of his artistic direction and growing confidence as an emerging voice.
As he continues his journey, Golo remains focused on growth, consistency, and meaningful collaborations. He looks forward to working with the same artistes who inspired him to start, while continuing to shape a sound that is authentic to his story.
With “Sip,” Golo takes another solid step forward, signaling an artiste who is just getting started and ready to make his mark.
