Viveeyan is thrilled to unveil her latest project, the album “SOLSTICE,” which traces the arc from self-protection to self-embrace.
While her previous project, Slice, captured the grind, glamour, and friction of adulthood, SOLSTICE turns toward the internal frequency. Slice closed with the celebratory freedom of “Feel Good”, a track that invited listeners to “lose themselves” without metaphors, “SOLSTICE” begins by questioning the emotional labor behind that release. Where Slice captured life in outward fragments, “SOLSTICE” marks the moment those fragments turn inward. It is a transition from the “one-man party” to the one-man truth, exploring what “feeling good” actually costs when the music stops.
Across five tracks, “SOLSTICE” shows this by moving through the quiet exhaustion of performance, the pressure to conform, and the careful discernment that follows disillusionment.
Opening with the introspective weight of “Shapeshifting,” the EP confronts the emotional labor of masking, before shifting toward reclamation in “Living Like Me,” where authenticity becomes an act of resistance.
“Not In Not Out” sharpens that awareness, choosing clarity over illusion, while “Sun Shining” marks a deliberate turn toward joy and embracing oneself. Closing with “You,” the EP finds resolution in a love that affirms rather than reshapes.
Like its title, SOLSTICE captures a threshold moment: the longest night giving way to light, and the decision to step fully into it as yourself.
“SOLSTICE” will be available on all major music platforms.
