The DIY Collective Announces Bonus Track: A New Live Music Platform for Rising Nigerian Artists

The DIY Collective, a creative community dedicated to building opportunities for young artists, today announces the launch of Bonus Track, a new live performance series spotlighting the depth of talent within Nigeria’s music industry.

Set in Hard Drive Records, an old record store and studio that carries the spirit of Nigeria’s evolving music culture, Bonus Track is designed as a stage to breathe new life into songs that deserve to be heard. Moving beyond the polish of studio recordings, the platform focuses on live renditions that capture raw artistry and emotion.

This platform was created to give songs a second life. It is a space for music that may never be officially released, for old records to be rediscovered, and for live renditions that reflect the emotions and pivotal moments of an artist’s journey. Whether it is closing a chapter or beginning a new one, Bonus Track allows artists to use live performance as a canvas for storytelling, creating something intimate and unforgettable for their audience. Through Bonus Track, The DIY Collective continues its mission of nurturing the next generation of Nigerian creatives by providing them with platforms that go beyond traditional release strategies.

“Too often, powerful songs never make it past the studio walls, or artists don’t get the chance to perform their work in the most authentic way. Bonus Track is our way of changing that,” said Lammy A, founder of The DIY Collective. “We want to show the rawness, vulnerability, and versatility that makes Nigerian music special.”

The program is now open for submissions from artists eager to share their stories and songs in this unique live format. Selected artists will be featured in a full season of performances rolling out soon across digital platforms.

With Bonus Track, The DIY Collective reaffirms its role at the forefront of cultural innovation; bridging artists to audiences in new, meaningful ways, while building structures that spotlight creativity, growth, and community in Nigeria’s music scene.
