Ghanaian pop dancehall duo Toff Twins have officially unveiled their much-anticipated 12-track album, The Royal State of Mind, under BMR Records / Blue Mountains Royal Airforce, now streaming on all major platforms. Released on July 31, 2025, the project is a powerful reflection of their journey, a mix of hard-earned lessons, street inspiration, and the fearless energy that defines Edwin and Edward Mensah.
Crafted between 2022 and 2025, the album threads together moments of struggle, triumph, and joy, each song drawn from the brothers’ experiences. The journey begins with “Bravery“ (Prod. DrRay) featuring Subway and Tank, a bold, high-energy opener born from an unplanned late-night studio session after a trip from Aburi. Recorded in the dark after a tense delay, the track captures the urgency and strength that fuels the duo’s creative spirit.
From there, the tone shifts to “Prayer” (Prod. BeatzDakay), one of the oldest songs in their catalogue. It’s a heartfelt offering a spiritual dedication for loved ones, calling on Jah to protect and guide them. “Medal” (Prod. DrRay) follows with a motivational push for the youth to keep aiming high, stay hopeful, and never let anyone dim their light.
Other standout moments include “Over” (Prod. DrRay), a rhythmic testimony of overcoming struggles through Jah’s blessings, and “Stay Rich Stay Real” (Prod. BeatzDakay), an instant studio magic created in under an hour, a rallying cry for Ghanaian youth to chase success while staying authentic. The duo also flexes their celebratory side on “Champagne Popping” (Prod. BeatzDakay), channeling the joy of life’s victories, and deliver pure party energy with “Big Sound” (Prod. BeatzDakay), a crowd-turning pop dancehall banger originally part of a classic EP (STAY UP) released in 2023.
The project further shines on “Get a Life,” a vibrant collaboration with Kelvyn Boy produced by ATown, and “Mood,” a soulful, groove-driven record that adds another layer of depth to the album’s diverse soundscape.
For the street hustlers and dream chasers, “Step Up” (Prod. BeatzDakay) an anthem first released in 2022, but returning in full force, now officially forms part of the album with a fresh video that dropped earlier this year. Tracks like “Hit After Heat” (Prod. BeatzDakay) show the duo’s confidence in their consistency, while “Balance It” (Prod. Atown) brings a playful, groove-heavy vibe for the ladies. From the opening beat to the final hook, The Royal State of Mind is layered with authenticity, energy, and the unmistakable chemistry of two brothers in perfect sync.
Hailing from Ghana’s Volta Region, Toff Twins have been making music together since their teenage years. After completing college in 2018, they committed to music full-time, performing for friends, family, and steadily growing audiences. Today, their sound blends uplifting messages with infectious pop dancehall rhythms, aiming to inspire Ghanaian and global listeners alike.
Despite financing and managing their career independently, Toff Twins remain open to collaborations, extra support, brand partnerships, and label deals, all with the mission of pushing Ghanaian music to the world stage.
With The Royal State of Mind, Toff Twins have cemented their place in the pop dancehall landscape, proving that persistence, talent, and truth will always resonate. And with plans already in motion for a new EP set to drop in January 2026, the twins are showing no signs of slowing down.
